Radhey radhey, Holi Hai!

Holi is a festival of colour and is celebrated mostly in the Northern parts of India. There are many types of Holi, but we went to Vrindavan (near the birthplace of Lord Krishna) and played Holi with coloured powder.

A gate was the only thing that separated us from the craziness outside that was Holi!

Here we are boarding the train at Nizammudin Railway Station (Delhi) going to Mathura Junction.

This is what Sleeper Class looks like. You get to lie down if you want – though when the passengers without seats board the train, they will try to sit with you/on you.

We are wearing our clean, white kurtas – right before we head out into the world of Holi festivities.

Just as we left the hotel room, we were literally bombarded by the hotel staff with pink coloured powder – Happy Holi!

This is the gate to our little oasis, Ananda Krishna Van. The only thing that separated us from the craziness outside that was Holi!

My kurta and Pants after I patted it down from all the coloured powder..
